REGISTRATION

Bike Ride Registration Fee (limited to the first 500 riders):

$35 until 7/31/2018

$40 until 8/31/2018 (Last day to register for free t-shirts)

$45 until event day.

Onsite registration opens at 7:00 am on ride day.

Virtural Rider: For those who cannot ride but want to participate help support safe cycling on our roads.

Free t-shirt if registered by 8-31-18.

PROCEEDS BENEFIT BIKEWALK NC - http://www.bikewalknc.org/ and our bicycle safety education programs. Donations Accepted for BWNC and their work in helping to make safe cycling possible.

GENERAL INFORMATION

WEATHER: In the event of rain, the event will be canceled for safety reasons.

A ride weather update will be posted a few days before the event.

IMPORTANT NOTE:  All riders will be required to wear a helmet. It is highly recommended that all riders have a flashing rear lights and/or visible clothing. The CARS ride is to promote safety in cycling. Please follow the rules of the road and obey all the same laws as motorists.

SAG will be available to pick you up if you are not able to finish.

 

There will be early pickup of wrist bands and t-shirts at Raleigh Brewing on Friday September 21, 2018 from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm and again on Saturday September 22, 2018 from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm.

TO ALL RIDERS:

A. Each rider is responsible for bringing all the essential equipment and tools such as helmet, spare tubes, pump/CO2, hydration, etc. No helmet - no ride! There will be bicycle support vehicles following the group in case there is a need for mechanical service. There will be mechanical service provided at Dix as well.

B. It is strongly recommended that you carry your driver's license, health insurance card (or copies), a note containing emergency contact information or Road I.D. in case of an emergency.

C. Each rider MUST sign the electronic waiver when registering for CARS. Waivers will also be supplied at the early T-Shirt pick up and at day of the event for walkups who are registering.


IMPORTANT NOTE: IF YOU DO NOT SIGN A WAIVER, YOU CAN NOT PARTICIPATE IN THIS EVENT.  

D. While riding please DO NOT CROSS THE CENTER LINE INTO ONCOMING TRAFFIC! Follow all rules of the road, the same as motorists.

 

E. There will be Road Marshalls to help assist any riders along the way.


F. Rest Stops will be available along the route.

F. CARS t-shirts are being sold online as well as at the event - WHILE SUPPLIES LAST. Click on the "Registration" link to order your shirt. You MUST register by Friday, August 31 to receive a free CARS t-shirt.  Any extra t-shirts will be available on site the day of the event. We will accept cash, checks or credit cards day of the event.

G. We will have plenty of mechanical support with bike shops being represented at Dix Park and following the procession as SAG.
